Nightgown-Sewing from Scratch- 6 dec 2016

This fabric came from my sister-in-law, Rebecca. I made the night gown because I tough was appropriate. It has been really nice on cold nights. Plus since my surgery it is my alternate after 7 pm clothing. I did have to redraw the pattern to make my size but I was able to add more length and it turned decent for my first night gown.

Making a Bra from Pin-UP Girls Pattern 10-14 Dec 2016

This post is about exactly what the title says. Bras.

The pattern was purchased from Bra Makers Supply, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
The creator was Beverly Johnson.

Below are my first attempt at making a bra. 30DDD or 30F-this one had too much cup and not enough band. Hence bigger band smaller cup.

Why that sizing? Because 30DDD or 30F is what Dillards and Victorias Secret said I wore. Bras are vanity sized just like clothing, scary really especially when you get those big girls who have JJ or KK cups (yes they really have those sizes).


Will be test out the 32E  or 32DD pattern next, I do have back up plans if needed, I own pattern s for 30-38 A-D, 30-38 E-H(-Yes, those are more D's than I want to count.), and if really needed, I have the book that shows me how to draft from measurements only. As soon as  find the appropriate matching panty fabric I will be making those to match my bras. I have already drafted my pattern for those panties.

Reaction-Cross contamination- 14 feb 2017

 

I am sharing this photo as a way to teach and share. There are more on my personal facebook page. These are a reaction from cross contamination from a gluten or corn source item. Yes, this really does happen with those items, even minute amounts can cause great havoc. My chin really nice compared to the other day. It makes it somewhat challenging to go out in public looking this way. Please understand that even a little bit of contamination can affect someone. If you have questions ask and learn. Thank you

March 1-Still got peeling skins and it itches like a bugger. Plus there is a rash around the back of my neck.

This is in my master bath. I painted the background for the dolphins by blending the colors to the tone and hue I wanted. I added white for the wave peaks. It could be a moon or sun on the horizon, depending on my mood. Now I just need to work my way out ward with the rest.

My husband bought the dolphins in Hawaii on a trip wth the military. You could see the dolphins as a couple or a parent and child or two friends.

The background is my own creation the Dolphins were purchased by my husband on a trip to Hawaii.

Weekly Drops of Wisdom-Oil Spotlight-Melaleuca

Melaleuca, also known as Tea Tree oil, is one of my favorite doTERRA essential oils because it is versatile and has range of applications. What I love most about Melaleuca is its benefits for the skin and hair. I often put a drop or two of Melaleuca into my moisturizer, or even directly on my face after washing to reap the benefits of this purifying, toning essential oil. I also like to place a few drops of Melaleuca in my shampoo, or give myself a scalp massage with Melaleuca and Fractionated Coconut Oil.
